Brief History

Saint Luke’s school is a unit of Saint Lukes’s shiksha samiti which is registered by the Government of Uttarakhand. Its registration number is 456(2001-2002). School is affiliated by Anglo- Indian board code no. 010. It is co- education and English medium school. It is situated in Jawahar, Jyoti, Damuadhunga, Kathgodam . About 400 students are being educated in the CBSE pattern from Nursery to class VIII in our institution and are taught by qualified and experienced faculty under the principal ship of Mrs. Shobha Mathpal and managed by Mrs. Shalini Bhatt. The word ‘Luke’ has been derived from the holy Bible Luke was one of the disciples of Lord Jesus Christ.

History

School was founded by founder president Late Mr. S.R.D Bhatt and Mr. Victor Phillips. This institution was their dream, which was fulfilled on 12th March 2001, with the efforts and hard work of our Principal Mrs. Shobha Mathpal, Mrs. Shalini Bhatt (Manager) and Mr. Varun Shillong (Director). On the first day of the institution there were 7 students and 3 teachers, which was in a rented building. Now institution is running in its own, well structured and well furnished building.
